James Evans, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
James is a portfolio manager of Thompson IM Funds, Inc. He is the Chief Investment Officer, Principal, and a Portfolio Manager at Thompson Investment Management, Inc. (“TIM”). Previously, James was a Managing Director for Nakoma Capital Management in Madison, Wisconsin. James graduated summa cum laude from Macalester College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Computer Science. He also earned a M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting and a M.S. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed the Applied Security Analysis Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Business School. He is a CFA charterholder.
Jason Stephens, CFA
Chief Executive Officer
Jason is a portfolio manager of Thompson IM Funds, Inc. He is Chief Executive Officer, Principal, and a Portfolio Manager at TIM. Previously, Jason served as the Chief Operating Officer of TIM from 2009 to March 2015. Jason received a B.S. in English and Communication Arts, a M.A. in Arts Administration and a M.S. in Finance, each from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a CFA charterholder.
John W. Thompson, CFA
Chairman and President
John is a portfolio manager of Thompson IM Funds, Inc. He is the Founder and President of TIM and has been its Chairman since March 2015. Until January 2004, John was President and Treasurer of Thompson, Plumb & Associates, Inc. John has a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin and a M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a CFA charterholder.
